A PLAN TO TRY

01 / Turn exploration into information

Before committing to a long search, decide what you need to learn: a usable route, nearby residents, or supplies. Give teammates a short location report instead of simply saying “over here.” Agree on a landmark you can all recognize. A first match is also reconnaissance: notice what confused you and use the next round to answer that one question.

02 / Give your team a shared priority

Try assigning one person to report supplies, another to communicate with residents, and another to watch the approach. These are suggested responsibilities, not official character classes. Reassign them when the situation changes. Four players completing unrelated tasks may struggle to combine what they find into an escape.

03 / Prepare before making noise

Before triggering an escape, check that teammates know the destination and that anyone escorting residents has time to arrive. Choose a fallback meeting point. When the plan breaks, communicate the change immediately. Do not treat a route in a video as a guaranteed spawn in your own match.

04 / Review one decision

After the round, ask: did we lack information, equipment, or coordination? Pick one adjustment for the next match. Save the checklist below and mark only actions you actually completed. Completion measures preparation, not your chance of surviving.
