A PLAN TO TRY
| What you observe | What to check first |
|---|---|
| Empty before contact | Did you spend the reserve reaching this position? |
| Recovery starts late | Separate the delay from the recovery speed. |
| Recovery feels slower during pursuit | Record whether Stalk or another visible effect is active. |
| The same route repeatedly fails | Compare route choice before changing character. |
Separate three different problems
Running out of stamina, waiting for recovery to begin, and recovering slowly are different problems. A useful replay note identifies which one happened. Record whether you started the encounter already depleted, whether Michael was applying pressure, and whether you tried to cross an exposed area before recovering. Without those details, changing a character may conceal a positioning mistake rather than solve it.
Use a repeatable observation
Pick one character and one short journey between landmarks. In a low-pressure situation, observe when you become exhausted and when recovery resumes. Then compare a chase using the same character. This is an observation method, not a benchmark protocol: opponents, status effects and route choice will still vary. Do not infer an exact percentage from a moving bar.
Make the route decision earlier
Before leaving a search area, decide where you intend to stop next. If you have no destination beyond running away, you may spend your remaining reserve discovering the route. Ask a teammate for the next landmark while there is time to respond. Avoid treating another player’s long sprint in an old video as a promise about your current build.
Change one variable after the round
If you consistently start a chase exhausted, work on when you commit. If the route was the problem, learn the neighborhood. Only compare characters or cards once you can describe the same failure across several attempts. This keeps your limited play time focused on an actionable question.
Questions about this guide
Is a precise new stamina formula available here?
No. The official notes describe changes, but this guide has no measured formula.
Does high Athleticism guarantee escape?
No. Movement is only one part of a route, awareness and team-coordination problem.
