A PLAN TO TRY
| Question | Before committing | After the attempt |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Name the next movement | Check whether that movement happened |
| Escort readiness | Confirm position and exit requirement | Reassess the remaining obstacle |
| Repeated use | Note any immediately preceding attempt | Separate activation failure and observed effect |
What diminishing returns does—and does not—tell you
The documented change is a reason to reconsider repeating the same interruption immediately. It is not a published damage formula, immunity duration or universal number of safe attempts. When comparing advice, check whether it was recorded before the launch patch and whether it actually shows repeated blinds. One successful interruption cannot establish how the next one will behave.
Choose the purpose before using the opportunity
Name the action you want to complete next: reach cover, change your route or let an escorting teammate move. A brief disruption is only useful if it creates an opportunity you can act on. As a team-planning suggestion, agree who will move and where before attempting it, instead of leaving everyone watching for the same effect. Do not treat this as a guaranteed safe interaction window.
Worked situation: one player distracts while another escorts
Suppose a teammate is still bringing residents toward the intended exit. Before committing, confirm the escort’s current location and whether the exit requirements are complete. If the interruption appears to work, carry out the agreed movement and reassess; do not automatically repeat it while the escort remains unready. If the escort cannot move yet, identify the missing condition rather than assuming another blind solves it.
A repeat attempt felt weaker: compare the sequence
Record the version, what action was attempted, whether an earlier blind had just occurred, and what changed afterwards. Keep a failed activation separate from a visible effect that seemed shorter or less useful. Other movement and timing differences can affect the outcome, so avoid deriving a numerical reduction from one encounter. A short sequence showing both attempts is more informative than an isolated screenshot.
Questions about this guide
How many seconds until repeated-blind resistance resets?
The cited notes do not give an exact reset time. This page does not supply a guessed countdown.
Does every blind make Michael completely unable to act?
That blanket guarantee is not established here. Observe the outcome and retain an exit plan.
Should teammates attempt the same disruption one after another?
Do not assume the effects remain identical. Coordinate the purpose and next movement; the patch explicitly changes repeated blinds close together.
Can I compare an early-access clip with the current patch?
Label their versions and circumstances first. A pre-patch example may not represent the revised repeated-blind behavior.
